Outer Banks Family Reunion Rentals in Kitty Hawk
Three oceanfront homes, side by side. Everyone gets their own space — and the whole family shares one stretch of beach.
Most big Outer Banks “event homes” pack 20+ people under one roof. We think there’s a better way: three neighboring oceanfront homes at Milepost 3¾ in Kitty Hawk, so each branch of the family gets its own kitchen, its own bedrooms and a little quiet — then everyone meets on the beach.
Perfect for
- Multi-generation family reunions
- Two or three families vacationing together
- Wedding parties and rehearsal-week stays
- Milestone birthdays, anniversaries and church or club retreats
The three homes
Crab House
Single-level living, an extra-large oceanfront deck and a gated yard for your dog — steps from the sand.
Big Deck Beach House
A 500 sq ft oceanfront deck, gourmet three-oven kitchen, wet bar and a king suite with a jetted tub.
A Carolina Conch
Classic two-story Outer Banks cottage with wraparound ocean views, carport parking and baby gear on hand.
Planning tips for an Outer Banks reunion
Book early. Summer Saturdays fill fast, especially when you need several homes the same week.
Plan one big group activity. A morning at the Wright Brothers National Memorial, a sunset climb at Jockey’s Ridge, or a wild-horse tour in Corolla are crowd-pleasers for every age.
Divide the cooking. Rotate dinner duty between the three kitchens, and order a steamed seafood platter from a local market one night.
Shoulder season is a secret. Late May and September offer warm water, easier traffic and better odds of getting all three homes.
FAQ
How many people can stay in the three homes together?
Up to 29 guests: Crab House sleeps 10, Big Deck Beach House sleeps 10 and A Carolina Conch sleeps 9.
Are the houses really next to each other?
Yes — 4123, 4129 and 4203 N Virginia Dare Trail are on the same oceanfront block in Kitty Hawk, a short walk apart on the beach.
Can we host a big group dinner?
Big Deck Beach House has a gourmet kitchen with three ovens and a 500 sq ft deck that works well for group meals and cookouts. Local caterers and seafood markets can also handle a feast for a crowd — see our restaurant & market guide.
How do we book multiple homes?
Book each home on Vrbo for the same dates. Direct multi-home booking on this site is coming soon — follow our Facebook page for updates.
When should we book a summer reunion?
Summer weeks for groups often fill many months ahead. Booking 9–12 months out gives you the best chance of locking in all three homes for the same week.
