You can’t miss it — the cheerful pink cottage sitting right on the sand. A Carolina Conch is a classic two-story Outer Banks beach house at Milepost 3¾ in Kitty Hawk, with ocean views from every corner of the main living space and a big oceanfront deck for watching the surf roll in.
The ground-level entry has a full bathroom, so sandy feet and wet swimsuits never have to make it upstairs. On the first living level, the great room combines a comfortable living area, a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen — all wrapped in windows facing the Atlantic. Two bedrooms share a full bath on this floor: one with two single beds and one with a queen and a TV.
Up top, a king bedroom and a second room with a queen and a single bed share another full bath, and both have TVs. It’s a natural split for two families or for parents and kids.
The house is set up for small travelers and four-legged ones alike: a pack-n-play, high chair, baby gate, toys and kids’ dishes are provided, and up to two dogs are welcome. There’s a carport plus room for four cars, a barbecue grill, and outdoor furniture on the deck. Like its two neighbors, it’s one of the few dog-friendly oceanfront rentals in Kitty Hawk.
