About Crab House
Walk out of the great room, cross the deck, and you are on the sand. Crab House is a fully renovated, dog-friendly oceanfront home in Kitty Hawk with an extra-large ocean deck, one-level living and space for ten.
The home is elevated for the views but laid out on a single level, so nobody is hauling coolers up and down three floors. The heart of the house is a big, open great room with a dining table that seats all ten of you and a fully remodeled kitchen with all-new appliances — well stocked down to the lobster pot, two toasters, a coffee grinder and a blender for sunset drinks.
Two bedrooms and a full bath sit on the ocean side, so both queen rooms wake up to the Atlantic. Two more bedrooms on the street side each have a double and a single bed — perfect for kids, grandkids or a couple of friends. A dedicated laundry room with a new washer and dryer keeps beach towels moving.
Outside, the oversized oceanfront deck is furnished with Adirondack-style chairs, a long table and umbrellas, and a gated side yard gives children and dogs room to roam. There is an enclosed outdoor shower for rinsing off sand, a charcoal grill, and parking for four cars. Up to two dogs are welcome.
